‘Bomb’ to go off September in Iran cinemas

Famed Iran actor/director Peyman Moaadi’s new offering ‘Bomb’ is set to get theatrical release in two months’ time.

Famed Iran actor/director Peyman Moaadi’s new offering ‘Bomb’ is set to get theatrical release in two months’ time.

The flick with the full title ‘Bomb: A Love Story’ will be screened at Iran theaters some time in September.

The distribution deal for the flick was closed in concurrently with the actor/director’s birth anniversary on Saturday.

The acclaimed title has won several noms at the latest edition of Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

The director also stars in his own flick alongside Siamak Ansari and Leila Hatami.

Starring in Asghar Farhadi's Oscar-winning 'A Separation' is pretty much the biggest credit on Moaadi's resume.

His leading role in the movie brought him a Silver Bear award for Best Actor from the Berlin International Film Festival in 2011.

Iranian blockbuster hit ‘Life+1 Day’ by first timer Saeed Roustaee also featured Moaadi with the film winning a total of nine Crystal Simorgh awards at the closing ceremony of the 34th Fajr Film Festival—a new record for the number of awards grabbed by a movie at any of the previous FFF editions.
